About Our Custom Catio Construction Service
When you want a one-of-a-kind outdoor space that’s perfectly tuned to your home, your yard, and your specific cats, our custom catio construction service is where we shine. We design every project from a blank page — no kits, no cookie-cutter modules.
The Custom Catio Process
Every custom build starts with an in-home consultation where we measure the space, study your cats’ habits, and discuss aesthetic preferences. We then return with a 3D rendering and an itemized written estimate. Once you approve, our crew handles permits (when needed), material sourcing, framing, mesh installation, finishing, and a final cat-safety inspection.
Materials We Use
We frame with kiln-dried Western Red Cedar or pressure-treated Douglas fir, depending on your aesthetic goals and exposure conditions. All visible hardware is stainless or hot-dipped galvanized. Mesh is 16-gauge welded galvanized wire — five times stronger than the chicken wire most discount builders use.
Design Features
Multi-level platforms, weatherproof shelves, integrated cat doors, lockable access gates, planters, scratching posts, hammocks, even pet-safe water features — all available as part of a custom build.
Available Throughout the South Bay

FAQ
Custom Catio Construction Questions
How is custom catio construction different from a kit?
Kits are mass-produced and rarely fit a real home perfectly. Custom construction means every piece is cut, framed, and finished for your specific space — better fit, better materials, longer life.
Can you attach the catio to my house?
Yes, in most cases we can attach the catio to an exterior wall and install a cat door so your cats can come and go freely. We flash and seal every penetration to manufacturer specs.
How long does a custom build take?
Design takes 1 to 2 weeks. Construction is typically 3 to 7 working days on-site, depending on size and complexity.
Do you offer financing?
We work with several home-improvement financing partners and can share options at your consultation.
What's the typical investment?
Most custom catios range from $6,000 to $18,000 depending on size, materials, and add-ons. Larger luxury builds can exceed $25,000.
Do you remove old structures?
Yes — demo and disposal of an existing patio cover, shed, or failed DIY catio can be included in your estimate.
